Love the pattern. Since the suggested yarn is no longer available, can you suggest an alternative? Preferably, not a wool yarn. Thank you! Rose

Could you please explain what is meant by "repeat these (1-2) stitches to the side edge at the beginning and ending of each row in the pattern graph. Thanks.

Doreen, it means to basically use those 1 or 2 stitches to make # of stiches in the pattern equal the # you have on your needles. If you are making the large size & have 88 stitches on your needles for the back, the pattern only shows 80 stitches. So, you need to repeat those 2 stitches twice (for a total of 4 stitches) on EACH side of pattern. Sounds confusing but it works. When you start the sleeves, read the directions very carefully. I find it easier to have a piece of paper with row # on it with the increases noted on the appropriate row. This also helps to insure that both sleeves are the same! :) As for the yarn being discontinued, I found Willow Yarn Fawn 50%bamboo 50%acrylic works...almost completed the sweater! Oh! If you think your intarsia looks sloppy, just knit the background colors & embroider the designs in duplicate stitch

I really love the pattern. I started making it but I'm confused. I'm making the s size-72 stitches on my needles but the pattern graph shoes 80. Thank you!

Ina, just subtract 8 stitches from the pattern graph. For the back, I'd delete 2 stitches from EACH side & 4 from the center. I think that will work.
