Get crafty with your kids this summer

Imperial War Museum North are hosting a range of free family activities this summer, including fun crafts!

IMW North, in Manchester, part of the Imperial War Museums is hosting a range of family activities this summer, from 20 July to 4 September, with free entry. Entitled Get Fit for Action, these events are fun-packed and encourage you to get active.

As well as assault courses, circus skills and dancing (and more!), there is a range of daily craft sessions. Every day there is an open studio creative session in the Learning Studio, where younger visitors can get crafty with the free materials that are provided.

29 July - 4 August - Super Sports Bookmark making

5 - 11 August - Sporting Scenes making with fun foam stickers and templates

12 - 18 August - Scratch Art Sports Star Magnets making

19 - 25 August - Sporting Characters making with special pens on wooden silhouettes

26 - 31 August - Kick, Catch, Throw: decorate a fun fabric ball

1 - 4 August - Sport and Truce: marking Peace Day, get stuck into sport themed craft and see First World War artefacts.

Entry is free, but donations are appreciated.
