Come along to Handmade Things' Rather Splendid Christmas Fair on Saturday 7 December.
No, it's not too early to think about Christmas, so get this date in your diary for a rather splendid time. Saturday 7 December sees the Handmade Things' Rather Splendid Christmas Fair coming to the Market House in St Austell, from 11am - 4pm.
There are over 20 local designer-makers getting together to bring their quirky handmade jewellery, toys, homewears and gifts for you to browse in the laid-back Christmass atmosphere. You can even have a go at making your own presents, with the family-friendly workshops that are just £5.
You can make a recycled vintage bling ring, a knitted earwarmer, a sparkly Shambala bracelet, recycled book decorations, a natural scented bath infusion, personalised clay decorations, handmade cards and a willow wreath for your front door.
The usual Market House boutiques will be open too, full of lovely presents. Plus, with cafes serving delicious homemade food and yummy tea and cake, you can put up your feet and listen to the rock choir singing carols to get you in the mood.
Some of the fair highlights include Laura Lane's ceramics and golden custard creams, Moth Pocket's acorn necklaces and illustrations, Rosy Bow's lavendar hearts, Hannah Mary's meaningful silver jewellery, Rachel Grigg's contemporary sea-urchin textile pictures, Jacki M's hand-sewn fabric brooches and Chloe Birnie's handpainted fabric dolls.
